Health Literacy
What is Health Literacy
Health Literacy refers to the ability to retain medical information and put it into practice when necessary. An increase in the level of health literacy can have several potential benefits to the community. Benefits such as better prehospital care, decreased mortality rates, and better management of chronic issues. Health literacy is everything between knowing when to apply ice or heat to knowing how to stop a life threatening bleed.
